Residential Park Home Insurance Services in the United Kingdom

Residential Park Home Insurance Services in the United Kingdom, home insurance uk

We have carefully developed two park home insurance plans to allow you to choose the appropriate one for you: Because park home owners are different, they have various expectations and budgets, we have carefully designed two park home insurance policies to allow you to choose the best one for you: Economy and Select are the two options available.

Park houses provide a unique lifestyle because of their construction, ownership concept, and community lifestyle. Our insurance plans were carefully crafted based on more than 60 years of expertise in the park home market and numerous interactions with park home residents.

Both policies provide coverage on a replacement-as-new basis, which means that in the event of a catastrophic loss, your home and its contents will be replaced with brand new equivalents. Both will contain perks such as freezer contents, replacement locks, alternative housing, public and property owners' liabilities, and, most crucially, 24-hour home emergency support and a free and tailored park home legal counsel helpline.

The majority of park home policies do not cover loss or damage caused by vermin, such as rats and mice. Vermin damage can be substantial; in fact, in 2018, rat damage rendered a park home uneconomically repairable.

Loss or damage caused by vermin such as rats and mice is covered under the 'Select' policy.

Residential Park Home Coverage Options - PB Insurance
We've outlined the full range of features and benefits offered by our 'Select' and 'Economy' insurance options in an easy-to-understand 'at a glance' format below, allowing you to select the policy that best meets your needs.

If you have any questions about the policies, please contact us and we will gladly clarify them to you. You can also examine the entire policy wording online, or we will gladly send you a sample policy.

We've done our best to make the features as apparent as possible, and we feel both policies provide outstanding coverage, comparable to, if not better than, any other comparable insurance now available.

Please keep in mind that no policy will protect you or your property against every conceivable risk; terms and exclusions will apply, and each application will be subject to individual underwriting based on your needs and circumstances.

Premiums for Park Home Insurance

Our premiums are significantly determined by the age of the park house; we have found, as have other insurers, that older homes provide a larger risk in terms of the cost and frequency of claims than newer homes; as a result, premiums for homes built before 1995 are higher. The high levels of coverage and features given by our 'Select' insurance are reflected in the premiums, which include no policy excess, accidental damage, vermin cover, legal expenses, and 24 hour Home Emergency Assistance. The 'Economy' insurance's lower rates reflect fewer levels of coverage, including policy excesses, no vermin coverage, no legal fees coverage, and limited accidental damage coverage.

Coverage for personal belongings while away from home is available as an add-on.
Personal Possessions – optional coverage is offered for personal belongings that are generally worn or carried about the person when they are not at home, such as jewellery, glasses, cameras, laptops, golf and fishing equipment. To add £1,000 of coverage, for example, the foregoing rates would rise by around £20 on the normal premium and £16 on the discounted premium.
